"If you're going to see the Capital, you HAVE to see it on a SEGWAY! Or do anything on a Segway, they're just amazing.
The most fun I've had standing up!

"Thank you for asking my age...if you were here I'd run you over with a borrowed segway! In life it's not the miles, it's the course, and ours is active and fun! Having wanted to ride a Segway ever since we first head about them we had been thwarted at every turn...weather, sold out, late flights... At last a trip to Washington DC provided the opportunity we had waited so long for. It was incredible. Everything we had thought it would be and more. I did feel sorry for the younger couple scheduled with us. We left them in the dust! They kept apologizing for keeping us waiting (like we sat still...we zoomed in circles as we waited). Our guide, Will, was an intelligent college senior with interests similar to ours and we had a blast! We did feel guilty about not paying much attention to his talk though. We were too busy zooming off here and there and handing out flyers to interested onlookers. My husband even took movies as we went! I would have stayed for the next tour and done it again, if it hadn't been sold out. If we didn't live in crowded and not-Segway-friendly Manhattan we'd stiff the kids this Christmas and buy Segways for ourselves...I still might...I'll ride around the kitchen! You should open a franchise in Central Park! (If you do we get rides free for the idea!) In 20 years we'll be using these instead of wheelchairs! Watch your back!
"We had a great time riding the Segways around DC. It was a terrific way to cover the distances from the White House to the Capitol building and by lots of major monuments. Since it was January, there weren't many pedestrians out, which left lots of room for us to zip around. Our guide was thoughtful and informative. I would like even more information on the sights and perhaps some architectural information and a little more history." - Eric Rhodes Sat., Jan 28 12:30 PM
“I have lived in the DC area since 1984 and have done practically everything "touristy" you can think of but the Segway tour was by far the funnest thing I have ever done. I cannot wait to do it again with my next visitors. Not only was this a blast to do but I thought I knew everything there was to know about Washington but I learned several new fun facts that I had not previously known. The staff is great: knowledgeable about Washington and quickly got us all up to speed on operating the Segways. I cannot recommend this enough.!” – Mr. Sayer Sat, Jan 12 12:30 PM
“Loved the machines – they are truly revolutionary – think and you move… within 4-5 minutes - the Segways became extensions of our bodies. Covered a lot of ground and the guide was superb.” – G. Jesien
“Wonderful! Lots of fun, and I was surprised how easy it was to get used to the Segway - 5 minutes max, and I felt like it was a part of me. The tour guide was great, and we had a wonderful time.” – Andrew
“Worth every penny. This tour was the best I’ve take… [it] covered so much ground that we couldn’t have seen so much any other way without doing a ton of walking.” – Marge
“Wicked good fun!!! It’s one of those things you can do more than once because you’ll see something new each time.” – Anonymous
“[The competition] staff acted like they were doing us a favor to talk to us, and we also noticed that the equipment was the older version of the Segway. Needless to say we didn’t utilize their service. Capital Segway uses the most current Segway models for their tours. I would not hesitate to return to Capital Segway on my next visit.” – Dan
